Welcome

There is Nothing to Fear, but Fear itself!

Sunday, 29 April 2012

Hello everyone, it's been a long time since the last post. That's because I was busy doing some stuff. It took longer than I expected, but now I'm happy to announce the publication of my first book. "In the Dark Crypts of Oblivion" (book 1) is the first book in a series of short horror story collections that deal with pretty much every single element of horror that exists (or has existed). At the moment I'm working on the second book of this series along with my first novel. These two will probably come out roughly at the same time.
The first book is now available in electronic format for all ebook reading devices. Here's the link to smashword's webpage if you like to download it or read a free sample. Hope you enjoy.

Nymphetamine

Here's one the best Gothic Metal/ Extreme Metal songs ever and one of my favorites. It's the work of the British Extreme Metal band "Cradle of Filth" (my number 1 band!) along with Liev Kristine of the Viking Metal Band "Leaves' Eyes" (former female singer of Theater of Tragedy), released in September 28, 2004. Here's the video along with the lyrics.

Led to the river
Midsummer I wave
A 'V' of black swans
On with hope to the grave

And through red September
When skies fire-paved
I begged you appear
Like a [Incomprehensible] ones

Cold was my soul
Untold was the pain
I faced, when you left me
A rose in the rain

So I swore to the razor
That never, enchained
Would your dark nails of faith
Be pushed through my veins again

Bared on your tomb
I am a prayer for your loneliness
And would you ever soon
Come above unto me?

For once upon a time
From the binds of your loneliness
I could always find
The right slot for your sacred key

Six feet deep is the incision
In my heart that barless prison
Discolors all with tunnel vision
Sunsetter, nymphetamine

Sick and weak from my condition
This lust, this vampiric addiction
To her alone in full submission
None better, nymphetamine

Nymphetamine, nymphetamine
Nymphetamine girl
Nymphetamine, nymphetamine
My nymphetamine girl

Wracked with your charm, I'm circled like prey
Back in the forest where whispers persuade
More sugar trails, more white lady laid
Than pillars of salt

Fall to my arms
Hold their mesmeric sway
And dance out to the moon
As we did in those golden days

Christening stars
I remember the way
We were needle and spoon
Mislaid in the burning hay

Bared on your tomb
I am a prayer for your loneliness
And would you ever soon
Come above unto me?

For once upon a time
From the bind of your holiness
I could always find
The right slot for your sacred key

Six feet deep is the incision
In my heart that barless prison
Discolors all with tunnel vision
Sunsetter, nymphetamine

Sick and weak from my condition
This lust, this vampiric addiction
To her alone in full submission
None better, nymphetamine

Sunsetter, nymphetamine
None better, nymphetamine

Nymphetamine, nymphetamine
Nymphetamine girl
Nymphetamine, nymphetamine
My nymphetamine girl

Little Black Book of Stories Reveiw

I wanted to write this review about one of my favorite books for a while, so while I'm writing my new vampire story, I'm posting this. The name of the book is "Little Black Book of Stories" written by A.S. Byatt, kinda intriguing name isn't it? I really liked it. it's not horror but has elements of horror woven into the lines of its stories, I'd rather call it dark fantasy or dark fiction. Some passages are truelly good and ... inspiring!
My favorite one was "A Stone Woman" in which many interesting themes are explored, but I won't spoil it for you; go read for yourselves :)
The book generally recieved positive reviews from critiques too, here are some of them:

  • "In this wintry, supremely elegant collection, Byatt (Possession) peels back the surface of everyday life--and what she reveals may disturb your sleep." - Jennifer Reese, Entertainment Weekly

  • "Little Black Book of Stories is tough and good, stony in all the best ways, vitally not nice. It is her finest collection yet." - Ali Smith, The Guardian

  • "These tales, like those in Joyce's Dubliners, seem steeped in the sense that, one by one, we are all becoming shades. Occasionally, such emblematic qualities are worn a little too much on the sleeve: does "Body Art", which deals with a lapsed Catholic, really need lead characters named Becket and Whimple? But Byatt's skill lies in her ability to capture in one story both the fantastical and the entirely human." - Nicola Smyth, Independent on Sunday

So let me tell you this is a good book and I recomend it to you if you're into the genres I mentioned above.

New Subject for a Short Story

Hello People! Thanks for the comments, I'm going to do something new. I'll give you the opportunity to choose what subject/ monster you would like my next story be about. Here are four options:

    1. Vampires
    2. Zombies
    3. Werewolves
    4. Ghouls

The one that is preferred by most viewers will appear in the plot, but you are also welcome to add anything else that you'd like to read about and also about the timeline of the story. I'm looking forward to reading your comments, this poll will continue for a few days.
